Homewood Suites Concept
Hilton asked Harrison to conceptualise what Homewood suites could become. An updated prototypical design and floorplan was important in addition to making guests feel comfortable on a longer stay.
Biophilic design was embraced to create a comfortable yet elevated home-like environment. Tactile materials, soft comfortable seating, a mostly neutral palette in addition to unfussy Nordic styling set the design tone. The bar was relocated to the heart of the hotel. Reading nooks and communal work/dining flex spaces radiate out from the center of the space. Attention to creature comforts has not been ignored by offering fresh baked bread and flowers in the lobby by way of an indoor market.
